Admittee and your student information system
Short answer: today, Admittee does not read from or write to your student information system. No roster sync, no student records, no grades, no enrolment feed. Nothing about a student arrives from PowerSchool, Skyward, Infinite Campus, Blackbaud or anything else.
That is a deliberate position rather than a gap we are embarrassed about, and it is worth a page because it is the question a CTO asks first.
Why that is the answer
An SIS holds the most sensitive data a school has. Every integration into it is a data-sharing agreement, a review, and a permanent obligation — and most of what a facility calendar and a box office need is not in there anyway. A gym booking does not need a student record. A parent buying two tickets to Friday's game does not need to be matched against an enrolment table.
What Admittee does need is the people who actually show up: families, renters, participants and buyers. Those build themselves from what happens on the calendar — somebody registers a child for a camp, somebody buys a season pass, somebody rents the gym — rather than being imported from a system of record about students.
What Admittee does connect to
Arbiter schedule feeds. If your athletics schedule lives in Arbiter, contests import onto the Admittee calendar rather than being retyped. This is a feed we read; it is not a partnership, and Arbiter's own commercial partnership in this category is with GoFan. See what happened to rSchoolToday.
Calendar feeds out. Facilities, categories and filtered athletics schedules publish as iCal, so they appear in Google Calendar, Outlook, your website and your app without anyone copying anything. Foundation Academy points ParentSquare groups at those feeds, so what families see there is current without anyone retyping it — that is the feed doing its job, not an integration we built, and it works the same way for anything else that can subscribe to a calendar.

What is in progress, and is not shipped
Clever and Bloomerang are in progress. We label them that way rather than listing them as included, because they are not, and a feature list that quietly counts unbuilt things is the reason nobody believes feature lists.
When Clever does land it will not change the answer above by much: Clever Contacts are the useful part for us, and they sit behind Clever's own higher tier, which is a conversation your district has with Clever rather than with us.
Questions
Can we still use Admittee if our SIS is locked down?
Yes, and that is most schools. Nothing in Admittee waits on an SIS connection, because there is not one.
How do families get into the system, then?
They create an account when they buy or register, the same way they would anywhere else, and their household and contacts build from what they actually do. No student data is imported to make that work.
Will you build an SIS integration?
Clever is in progress. Beyond that we would rather be asked by a district with a specific need than build a roster sync speculatively and hold student data we do not have a use for.
Does Admittee hold student records?
No. It holds the people who transact with you — buyers, renters, participants and their households — which is a different and much smaller set.
