The Event Day App makes it simple to scan tickets at the gate so families can get in quickly and volunteers can keep lines moving. Every scan is automatically recorded in your Event Activity on the admin dashboard.

✅ Before Families Arrive

• Make sure your volunteers have the unique Event Day App link for this event.

• Post QR Posters in hallways, at the doors leading to the gate, and right at the gate itself. 

  • Parents can scan the poster and purchase tickets on the spot as they arrive.

  • To get posters: open your event, click the Share button, then select Print Poster.

• Scan a ticket in advance to confirm everything is working.
  
  
  

📲 How to Scan Tickets

1. Open the Event Day App, turn up your device’s volume, and choose Redeem Tickets.

2. Point your device’s camera at the QR code on the parent’s ticket (printed or on their phone).

3. The app will instantly show if the ticket is valid.

   • Green check → Ticket is valid and redeemed

   • Red X → Ticket has already been used or is invalid

4. Families can then enter and enjoy the event.
   
   
   

📊 Where Scans Are Tracked

• Every scanned ticket is logged in Event Activity within your admin dashboard, giving you a complete record of who attended and when.

• You can also view scan activity directly in the Event Day App by clicking the Activity icon in the upper right of the scanner.
